10 PAGES, 10 QUESTIONS, $100
Would you like feedback on a novel in progress? An essay draft? Are you an MFA grad who misses the packet exchange experience? Are you just starting and nervous? As time allows, Shonna will provide concentrated feedback on your material for a very low price of $100.
Many aspiring (and established!) writers have asked to work with Shonna, and usually, the timing is not great--or the cost is too high, but Shonna is committed to making the experience financially accessible. So, this deal is a good one.

From Shonna:
Answers to your questions! This manuscript feedback is designed to be concentrated, and these 10 questions are intended to get you looking critically at your material from a craft perspective. Your specific questions frame your experience much more effectively than a generic, "tell me what you think" request. Shonna wants to know what you are struggling with, so she can be most effective for you. Her goal is to give you a new perspective on your material and leave you feeling energized and ready to tackle the next phase. Feedback can include granular edits like pointing out repetitive language patterns--or zooming way out and suggesting a different approach.

Have a bigger, more in-depth manuscript draft or project?
This promotion is likely not the best match for you, but Shonna HIGHLY recommends the coaching services of Tanya Whiton (she's fantastic!) and the general resources at Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance.

From you:
- Up to 10 pages, double-spaced, in a Word or Google document. (Approximately 2,500 words, which is just right for a stand-alone essay or chapter.) This can be in any stage of development, from rough draft to "I think this might be ready."
- Up to 10 questions. These can be anything you'd like, but common examples include "how can I make this character more relatable to my audience?" or "where should I consider sending this for publication consideration?" or "can you help me with copy edits?" or "how can I get un-stuck?" or "how should I end this?" If you only have one or two questions, that's absolutely OK, too!
